UPDATE ON THE ST. JAMES PROPERTY

Frontier Family,

We want to share an important update about our next steps as a church — and what we believe God is still doing through this journey.

After months of prayer, preparation, and good-faith effort on both sides, the Methodist Church has decided  in the very last minute, amidst very bizarre communication, not to move forward with our lease for the St. James property at the moment. We don’t have full clarity on why, but it seems they’re choosing to pause or explore other options.

Of course, this is deeply disappointing — but it’s not the end of the story. From the very beginning, we’ve sensed God’s hand in this process, and we still do. The unity, creativity, generosity, and faith that have been stirred in our church are not wasted. In fact, they may be the very reason God allowed us to walk this road — to prepare us for what’s next.

We continue to believe that the St. James property could still come back around. In fact, we haven't felt to stop believing and praying for that to be the case. We feel a spiritual battle of confusion in the communication between both parties and we are praying that this be turned and restored.

What about church this Sunday, Nov 2?

It doesn't look like the owners will be figuring this out anytime soon, so we will need to find at least a new temporary home for a while... For this week, our team has decided to take this Sunday, November 2, off from our regular service. It’s a chance to rest, pray, and gather in homes or with friends. Let’s use the day to thank God for what He’s done so far and to ask Him to open the right doors for what’s ahead.

We’ll gather again on Sunday, November 9 — whether that’s in a temporary location for a week or two while we finalize a new meeting place. We’re already exploring several school and auditorium options, and we’ll share details very soon.

If you have ideas or connections for potential spaces, please email us — we’d love to hear from you.

Frontier, we couldn’t be prouder of how you’ve carried faith through this entire journey. God is forming something deep and resilient in us. Let’s stay unified, prayerful, and ready. The same God who opened doors before will do it again — and this door still isn't closed. Until then, we press in...

With love and hope,

Christian + Sue
