2025 Year-End Update + Vision Ahead

Frontier Family,

What a year of faith and fire it has been.

From navigating the chaos of the fires and multiple temporary moves to finally finding a new home at the historic St. James campus, this has been one of the most stretching and miraculous seasons in our church’s story. Through it all, your generosity, flexibility, and faith have sustained the work of God among us. THANK YOU.

A Year Marked by God’s Faithfulness

In 2024, Frontier’s total ministry income was $706,000, and we closed the year right around break-even after major moves and facility upgrades—a remarkable testimony to God’s provision in a season of upheaval.

Then came 2025—our year of rebuilding, re-rooting, and renewal.

Through the first nine months of this year, giving has totaled $534,000, representing a 25% increase over the same period in 2024. That’s extraordinary considering the challenges we’ve faced.

At the same time, giving has been more sporadic than usual. We started the year very strong, but recent months have been lighter—likely a mix of summer rhythms, fire disruptions, and the fatigue that comes with transition. Even so, we remain ahead of last year’s pace, and we’re deeply grateful for every person whose consistent generosity keeps Frontier moving forward.

In short: we are spending every dollar carefully and purposefully. The needs of a growing community, a new property, and expanding ministries have all increased faster than our monthly giving rhythm.

Celebrating Our Growing Team

One of the clearest signs of God’s blessing this year has been the expansion of our leadership family. Each person below plays a vital role in helping Frontier remain both spiritually vibrant and organizationally healthy:

Pastors + Staff

  • Christian & Sue Martinsen — Lead Pastors

  • Phil Chan — Executive + Family Pastor

  • Tiffany Souers — Community Pastor

  • Pete & Pamela Taratikhumporn — Worship Directors

  • Karen Miller — Children’s Pastor

  • Sarah Bontrager — Kids Admin Lead

  • Meghan Parsons — Events + Experience Lead

  • Abraham & Boyoon Gin — Youth Pastors (to be officially announced soon!)

Elders
Clark & Tiffany Souers • Suzanne Shaw • Noe Rivera • Daniel & Fallon Phillips • Bob & Sloan Walsh

Financial Board
Bob Walsh (Chair) • Alec Blodgett • Brian Fong — serving alongside Christian & Sue

Frontier operates with three complementary layers of leadership:

  • A pastoral + staff team that leads day-to-day ministry and discipleship,

  • An elder team that provides spiritual oversight and shepherding, and

  • A financial board that ensures integrity, transparency, and wise stewardship.

Together these teams provide accountability, wisdom, and prayerful direction as we continue to grow.

Where We Stand

Even with this year’s challenges, Frontier’s financial footing remains healthy. We continue to operate within normal ratios for churches our size, with several months of reserves in place and a clear plan to tighten spending once the St. James transition is complete.

This season is stretching our faith, but it is also preparing us for greater fruitfulness ahead.

Looking Toward What’s Next

As we settle into the St. James campus, we’re envisioning what this property will become—a house of worship and prayer, a hub for families and next-generation ministry, and a home of renewal for our city.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share more about a dedicated financial campaign to begin the renovation and make the campus fully functional for Sunday gatherings and weekday ministry. It will be a beautiful opportunity for our whole church family to plant roots and build a nest for the years to come...

For now, we simply ask each of you to:

  • Pray about your giving as the year closes.

  • Stay consistent in generosity, even through uncertainty.

  • Trust that every act of faith is laying the foundation for what’s ahead.

Your giving doesn’t just fund a church... it forms a people. It turns faith into tangible beauty in the heart of our city.

We love you deeply,

Christian + Sue
(on behalf of the Staff, Elders, and Financial Board of Frontier)

P.S. Thank you for your patience during the long gap since our last detailed financial update. Over the past year, we’ve transitioned to a new church financial accounting firm that better fits Frontier’s growing size and complexity. This move ensures greater accuracy, accountability, and long-term sustainability as we continue to grow.

If you have specific questions about Frontier’s finances or budget, you’re welcome to reach out directly to Alec Blodgett, a member of our Financial Board. We’re committed to transparency and stewardship in all we do.
