Mission is more than bold conversations — it’s a whole way of life.

Whether we realize it or not, we are always telling a story with our lives. The way we work, show hospitality, pursue justice, and love our neighbors all speak louder than words. At the same time, we live in a world that is both spiritually curious and deeply skeptical. Many Christians feel paralyzed—unsure of what to say, afraid of sounding fake, or exhausted from trying. But Jesus invites us into a different way: a life of deep formation that naturally overflows into everyday mission.

THIS FALL AT FRONTIER

At Frontier, we’re helping people build a Rule of Life—a sustainable, Jesus-centered way of living that forms us over time into his likeness. This Rule of Life includes practices that shape how we abide with God, grow in Christlike character, live in community, and join God’s mission in the world.

This fall, we’re focusing on the Mission quadrant of that framework: how we live for the good of others and the renewal of the world. We’re equipping our church to see their vocation as sacred, to practice everyday hospitality, to engage meaningfully in justice, and to share the gospel with courage and compassion through personal evangelism.

We believe mission isn’t an add-on to the Christian life—it’s the natural result of lives rooted in the presence of God, shaped by the Word, and empowered by the Spirit.

SERIES MESSAGES:

The Sunday messages are divided into three parts that mirror our journey as a church.

  1. Formation for Mission (Weeks 1-3) lays the foundation—rooting us in Scripture, worship, and the reconciling work of Jesus.

  2. Evangelism & Witness (Weeks 4-6) equips us to share that hope with courage and compassion.

  3. Mission in Daily Life (Weeks 7-9) shows how the story of Jesus moves into everyday rhythms—our tables, workplaces, and neighborhoods—so that mission becomes a way of life, not an event.

(7/6/25) Fall Series Summer Teaser // “Live the Story. Tell the Story.”

(8/31/25) FALL SERIES: Week 1 // Psalm 1 + 150 // Where the Story Begins + Ends

(9/7/25) FALL SERIES: Week 2 // 2 Cor. 5:14-21 // When Our Story Fails: “The Great Exchange”

(9/14/25) FALL SERIES: Week 3 // Matt 5:17-19 // Response to Charlie Kirk + Why Trust the Bible that Offends

PRACTICES + COMMUNITY GUIDES: While the Sunday messages unfold over nine weeks, the Community Guides focus on six key practices drawn from those messages, giving every group a streamlined, hands-on way to live out the series together.

These guides are not just content — they’re pathways into a way of life. Each one connects the Sunday message with practices you can carry into your daily rhythms. They’re designed for Community Groups, but if you’re not in a group yet, you can still use them personally to let God shape your story!

ROOTED.

Rooted Before Sent. The Choice That Shapes Your Life // Explore the difference between superficial faith and a rooted life that bears lasting fruit. (Tied to messages on Psalm 1 & 150 + 2 Corinthians 5)

YOUR STORY.

Your Story, God’s Mission. Practicing and sharing your gospel story // Owning and telling your faith journey. (Tied to messages on 2 Kings 5 + 1 Peter 3)

SCRIPTURE.

The Bible You Can Trust. Jesus didn’t just read Scripture—he trusted it. And Isaiah calls out those who read but don’t live it. In a skeptical culture, we need to both delight in the Word and know why we trust it. (Tied to messages on Matthew 5 + Isaiah 58)

HOSPITALITY.

Hospitality that Heals: Practicing table-centered mission // Jesus says the kingdom is like a banquet—where the overlooked are honored. Mission often begins around the table. You don’t need a script—you need a seat open for someone else. (Tied to message on Luke 14)

JUSTICE.

Justice is Part of the Gospel: Faith that moves toward the margins // God says fasting is meaningless without justice. Real spirituality shows up in how we treat the vulnerable. We are justified by faith—so we live justly by grace. (Tied to message on Isaiah 58)

SENT.

Sent With Burning Hearts: Living on mission in daily life // From Abram to the disciples at Emmaus, God has always called people to go. Mission is never abstract—it’s personal. Their hearts burned as Jesus opened the Word. Then he broke bread—and sent them. (Tied to messages on Genesis 12 + Luke 24)
